Lark's Message

Dear Retirees,
The Executive Board of Northern New Jersey wants to thank you for attending the Opening Social of ’24 ~ ’25 on Wednesday, 11th September at Segovia Mesón in Carlstadt. After honoring the victims of 9/11, the afternoon was spent enjoying the ambience, chatting and partaking of the delicious hors d’oeuvres. Everyone agreed it was a lovely affair. Therefore, the Executive Board has decided we will do it again, every year!! To thank the members that participated, a raffle was held at the closing of the afternoon. Cynthia Mullins~Simmons was the winner and was awarded a free invite to the next Unit’s social to be held in December.
Some of you have suggested that we, the members, meet here in New Jersey, visit different restaurants, eat and have some fun, entertaining activities for all to participate in and to attract new members as a strategy help make the Unit stronger. The Executive Board heard you…We feel that it is important to continue to learn, be engaged with others to support a rich retirement. There is a plan to have “Zip Code Meetings” to inform new and hear from former retirees what is of interest to you. Come on, let’s do it!!
